The Mandalika Special Economic Zone has been formed, gender and household economics have become a scourge in society. Lack of insight and lack of ability in management are the fulcrum of this problem. The reason is, the Mandalika Special Economic Zone is planned to become Mandalika's economic route because it now has a circuit area that is able to attract tourists, both local and foreign.
adbmi.org – Gender issues and low ability to manage the household economy as well as low knowledge and business skills are problems for the people of the Mandalika special economic zone, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
This problem prompted the Indonesian Migrant Workers Advocacy Foundation (ADBMI) to start developing a solution which was realized in the form of an ADBMI and LGBS consortium program.
This program is supported by the Australia – Indonesia partnership for disaster preparedness or known as the SIAP SIAGA program.
The SIAP SIAGA program aims to overcome the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the community's economy where the entire process is carried out based on participatory, inclusive, gender responsive principles.
This program targets around 300 of the most vulnerable PMI families who meet the beneficiary criteria. Determining the beneficiaries has gone through a strict and participatory selection process, a beneficiary assessment team formed from BUMDes administrators, environmental heads, youth and community leaders who carefully verified the data.
This ADBMI and LGBS consortium program targets three villages in the Mandalika SEZ area. These villages include Tanak Awu Village, Sengkol Village and Kuta Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency.
The ADBMI Foundation summarized the program in a documentary film to digitally record the impact that has been provided through the SIAP SIAGA program.
